I am a professional who is most comfortable in a
work environment that calls for me to continually acquire
new – and perhaps nonstandard – knowledge and/or skills in
order to accomplish the tasks/projects at hand. My varied
background and my ability to rapidly acquire and exploit new
and diverse knowledge and skills could be of benefit in many
previous education and achievements have been primarily in
materials science and the spatial fields of remote sensing
and geographic information systems (GIS). Most of my work
with materials involved the microstructural analysis,
fabrication, joining, and modification of aluminum- and
titanium-based alloys and metal-matrix composites. My
experience in the spatial sciences both complements and
augments my materials career. It has included multi-spectral
image analysis, image processing, spatial analysis, web
mapping application development / maintenance, and GIS
application development in several programming languages.
